Welding Fume Purification

Application

Welding Fume Purification — Application Overview

Welding processes — MIG, TIG, stick, plasma — generate metal fume containing fine metal oxide particles and gaseous byproducts. Welding fume is subject to occupational exposure limits in most jurisdictions, requiring engineering controls such as local exhaust ventilation with appropriate filtration. Electrostatic precipitators provide effective capture of welding fume particulates, with modular configurations suitable for single-station extraction or centralised systems serving entire welding bays.

Recommended ESP Configuration

Pulse-jet cartridge dust collectors and modular ESP systems for welding fume extraction. Point-of-source extraction hoods with local ESP units for individual welding stations, or centralised extraction systems collecting from multiple stations through a duct network. Nanotechnology filter media available for high-efficiency sub-micron capture.
